Asiffudin Syed (PhD Researcher)
Currently, in my 2nd year of PhD studies at Nottingham Trent University's Al-Ahmady Lab, I am actively engaged in the development of targeted nanotherapeutics against blood cancers. Before my PhD, I was involved in projects exploring green synthesis of antimicrobial nanoparticles using novel plant sources (MGM Institute of Biosciences & Technology, India) and drug resistance against platinum-based chemotherapy within ovarian cancers (University of Kent, UK).
Being a part of the Al-Ahmady Lab has provided me with a comprehensive skill set in interdisciplinary research, encompassing lipid nanoparticle formulation and characterization, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, as well as expertise in cell transfection and the generation of in vivo models for haematological malignancies.
